Brian Strow specializes in economic history and public finance. His scholarly interests include the role of the government in American economic history and in current policy debates. He teaches introductory macro and microeconomics, Urban and Regional Economics, conducts honors student seminars and recently developed a new course in American Economic History. Dr. Strow holds membership in the Kentucky Economic Association, the Southern Economic Association and the American Economic Association. He has served as a discussant at the Economic and Business History Society meetings and a presenter at the Economic and Business History Society meetings. Dr. Strow has participated in faculty exchange sessions to China. He maintains an active interest in community economic development, serves on city government committees, and appears on local radio and television programs regarding economic issues.
