On the Question of Continents

As I looked around the cafeteria at the multicultural fair looking for an appropriate spot to hang my blue and white Salvadoran flag... I became confused. North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, Antartica... hmmm... Where do i put my flag?

7. "By most standards, there are a seven continents - Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America. Most students in the United States are taught that there are seven continents."

That doesn't answer my question.

6. "In Europe and other parts of the world, many students are taught of six continents, where North and South America are combined to form a single continent of America. Thus, these six continents are Africa, America, Antarctica, Asia, Australia, and Europe." 1

That might...but I'm not European.

5."Africa, the Americas, Antarctica, Asia, Australia together with Oceania, and Europe are considered to be Continents. The term continent is used to differentiate between the various large areas of the earth into which the land surface is divided. So, a continent is "a large, continuous area of land on Earth"..."2

Well.... is that a five continent theory?

"Some conventions consider Europe and Asia to be one continent..."3

WAIT!!!?
  1. The Americas
  2. Eurasia
  3. Africa
  4. Austral-Oceana
  5. Antartica
Did I miss something? Where's Greenland and the Artic?

This wiki map puts ES and Greenland in North America. Still can't find the Artic... but based on my research... US citizens (aka Americans) believe North America is its own continent which includes Greenland, Canada, the United States of America, the United States of Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama?

[Whew} At least El Salvador get all of the benefits of being on the North American Continent like being a member of the North American Free Trade Agreement.... wait...what? NAFTA only has three members? Oy.
