West/Central France

We drove four hours into west/central France yesterday to visit a friend of the family and former teacher at my alma mater at her family's estate just outside of Portiers, France. After a nice visit with her and her family we drove the back roads through France and stopped to visit the gardens and Chateau Villandry as seen in the photo.

The total trip took 14 hours and cost more than I care to mention - but it was worth it. (Okay... did you know a toll road in France can cost upward of 20 Euro??? That's 30 Dollars!!! ACK)

Today is my last day in France. I think I will spend it at the Louvre.
