WHAT UP!! Check out DC's favorite little sister on WashingtonPost.com along with other great photos of the insta-party in Washington on election night! I spent the night at the Embassy in Lome with around 150 Americans and Togolese sitting on the edge of our seats as the numbers slowly rolled in. It was 4 in the morning here when the results came in.
So - What do you guys think about the election results?? Please comment.
(for those who don't know - thats my sister dancing in the street - all the way to the paper)

I KNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEW you would post this! i saw erica's profile status on FB. xxx
Kevin, i think the imagine of US and Americans is definitely about to change. i did so already overnight. not many people like living in fear and now that anything is possible if you dream it and try hard most of the world believes there will be a change. i really hope no one harms him though. you know what i mean. one person has made billions of people happy and filled their lives with hope for a better, war-free future!
I love the picture and I am elated. I pride myself on the fact that I vote for the best candidate for the job regardless of party, popularity, or lack of either. I voted for Ron Paul in the primary, but by the time the general election rolled around, I was proud to vote for the best candidate for the job, Barack Obama. I had quite an affirmation at 11:01 Tuesday night when I threw open the windows, raised the stars and stripes back over Fairmont ST and woke Sydney so she might hear the jubilation outside her window. There is a unique combination af relief and motivation permiating our capital city right now, and god it feels good.
Can't wait for the victory parade/inauguration in January. It still feels a bit like a dream, though. Glad you got to experience it in some fashion.
yesss!! Hope you guys are doing well. Heidi
