I arrived in Senegal at 115 GMT and by the time I checked in to my hotel room and dropped my bags off it was 200. The first thing I did was to go out on the balcony and look at the stars - and well... not wanting to let the mosquitos in, I shut the door behind me and - you guessed it! I got locked out on the balcony. I spent over an hour yelling for help, throwing coins at windows and trying to shake the door open. Tired, nervous, not wanting to spend the night on the cold balcony floor I asked myself what would dad do? Noone came to my aid - except for dad. So in my most controversial move since deciding to keep on blogging, I kicked the window out.
Looks like Senegal is going to be an expensive trip. I'm tired and to be honest - not very sorry. What would you do at 3 in the morning locked out on the 5th floor with no one coming?
